If you have made the decision to invest in an electric vehicle, you are improving your own carbon footprint and helping millions of others accelerate the transition to sustainable mobility. Almost as good as being part of that global movement, is the chance for a holiday  in beautiful East Devon safe in the knowledge that EV chargers are now available across the region.

Perfectly timed for the holidays, nine rapid electric chargers up to 60kW are now ready to use in car parks in Sidmouth, Colyton, Axminster and Beer. These chargers are part of a wider roll out of 30 chargers in 12 locations across East Devon with chargers coming soon to Cranbrook, Lympstone, Honiton, Budleigh Salterton and Exmouth.

Confident in the knowledge that your holiday plans won’t be overshadowed by range anxiety, EV drivers can travel to East Devon and explore the Jurassic coastline, unspoilt countryside and market towns around the region, green credentials intact.  Why not drop into the Axminster Heritage Centre while you charge your car in the nearby car park? Or take an afternoon stroll along the Millennium Walkway, stretching the length of Sidmouth Beach, just a few minutes away from the charging point. Or picnic in fabulous Beer, choose a spot on the headland for a stunning view of the beach and village, while your car charges close by.

As well as exploring the Jurassic Coastline, why not take a trip into the historic city of Exeter. With 50 chargers planned for the city by the end of the summer, EV drivers can enjoy their journey knowing that their charging needs can be met. With so many attractions to choose from including The Underground Passages, Exeter Cathedral and Exeter’s beautiful Quayside as well as great shopping and dining found in both Princesshay shopping centre and The Guildhall shopping centre, a city break should definitely be on the cards this summer.

The brand-new EV chargers in East Devon can be found in Roxburgh Car Park in Sidmouth, Dolphin St Car Park in Colyton, West Street Car Park in Axminster and Central Car Park in Beer.
